Iron Insights — powerlifting strength analytics
Iron Insights places your powerlifting numbers against 2.8 million+ competition results from the
OpenPowerlifting database:
percentiles, strength standards, and distribution analytics. Every lift is ranked inside a matched
cohort — the same sex, weight class, equipment, tested status and age band — rather than
against everyone at once, and totals can also be scored with DOTS, Wilks or Goodlift points.
For example, across raw lifters of all ages the median competition figures are roughly:
- 83 kg man: 184 kg squat, 124 kg bench, 214 kg deadlift, 519 kg total (median); 229 / 156 / 261 / 629 kg at the 90th percentile.
- 63 kg woman: 106 kg squat, 59 kg bench, 126 kg deadlift, 291 kg total (median).
- Between sexes, the median woman's bench is about 47% of the median man's, the squat 58% and the deadlift 59%; on bodyweight-adjusted DOTS the gap narrows to roughly 88%.
